It gives me the creeps when someone calls or addresses me 'my dear'. Not 'dear'. Not 'my'. It's 'my dear'. Whole. Really, it reminds me of the big bad wolf.
"Grandma, grandma, why are your hands so big?"
"So it's better to hold you with, my dear."
"Grandma, grandma, why are your ears so big?"
"So it's better to hear you with, my dear."
"Grandma, grandma, why are your eyes so big?"
"So it's better to see you with, my dear."
"Grandma, grandma, why is your nose so big?"
"So it's better to smell you with, my dear."
"Grandma, grandma, why is your mouth so big?"
"So it's better to EAT you with, my dear."
*NGAP NGAP*

Hi Char, I think kam yue low roughly translates to a pervert (goldfish man).
FFL: Sparingly used, yes but not at every line, every sentence, every message, every greeting. Brr!!

u should hear what English people say, the older generations like to say "my love", "my dear", "my darling" to those younger ones, doesn't matter if u'r a guy or girl ;p

I thought kam yue low means fisherman. Fishing is like looking for a girlfriend. But there really aren't so many fish in the sea anymore.
